For a total of 20 points, read the article thoroughly, then complete the Science News format below. The write-up should:

  • include the titles of each of the catogories of information (-2 points if missing)
  • be written neatly or typed

  • Brief Notes: Write down the main ideas presented in the article. This should be in the form of a graphic organizer, outline, or other note-taking format. Remember to abbreviate!

  • Key Words/Terms: As you read the article identify 6-10 scientific terms that are directly related to the topic. List these terms and their definitions.

  • Questions: Write one relevant question that the article did not answer. This should be something that you wondered about or something that you would like to learn more about. You do not have to answer the question.

  • Parent/Guardian Question: Have your parent/guardian read the article and come up with one question that they would like to have answered.
